The Primitive Methodists acquired their church building in West Street after the Conregationalist society which had used it previously, was disbanded in 1868. They bought the building in 1882. You can read more about the establishment of the Wellingborough circuit and West Street chapel here.
Although no longer in use as a chapel, the building still carries an Ashlar tablet with the inscription “Primitive Methodist Chapel”
