The return from the Primitive Methodist chapel at Selwood, part of Frome, to the 1851 Census of Places of Public Religious worship was completed by the minister, Joseph Preston of Chapel Street, Frome.
He tells us that the chapel was built before 1800 and held 50 people. On Census Sunday, 46 people attended an afternoon service and 33 and evening one.
Where was the chapel and what happened to it?
