Orford Primitive Methodist Church, Suffolk

The foundation stones for the Orford Primitive Methodist Chapel existing today were laid on Tuesday 29 October 1901. The architect was Mr Winkworth and the builder was Mr Avis. At that stage, £262 of the estimated building costs of £650 had been raised.

The opening ceremony for Orford Primitive Methodist Chapel took place on Wednesday 4 June 1902. The doors were unlocked by Miss Wilson and Miss Edith Granville and Rev W Hammond gave a short address.

This chapel adjoined the previous one of 1837.

Orford Methodist Church continues to witness for God.
