Sibton Primitive Methodist chapel
In the Primitive Methodist magazine of 1837, W Pentney tells us about the opening of six Primitive Methodist chapels and one re-opening in the year following September 1835 in the Wangford circuit.
The opening services for Sibton Primitive Methodist chapel started on 15th May 1836. Mr R Howchin Mr W Wainwright & Mr W Pentney were the opening preachers.
The celebrations included preaching to about 1200 in the meadow near the chapel on Sunday afternoon.
The new chapel measured 21′(w) x 30′(l) x 16′(h)
