The 1879 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us they were working on a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Long Ditton in the Kingston upon Thames station to meet rising needs. The plan was to incorporate the existing school into the church and build a new school on adjacent land.
The 1897 Ordnance Survey map shows a Primitive Methodist chapel at the junction of South Bank and what was then Providence Place and is now Winters Road. Was that this chapel? In 2008 on Street View the chapel is still there as the New Apostolic church, albeit with a redesigned front – you can just see the apex of what is probably the original room peeping over the top. by 2012 it has been completely renovated : it might even have been demolished and rebuilt.
