Crickhowell Primitive Methodist chapel in the Rose Cottage branch, was opened from November 18th 1849. Preachers at the opening were Joseph Hutchings who reported the occasion in the Primitive Methodist magazine, and Bro. Porter.
The story is a remarkable one: in midsummer 1849, the society only had 6 members but after revival they had a membership of 30, a good chapel and large congregations.
As the chapel was the only English speaking chapel in the town, Mr Hutchings was optimistic about future prospects.
The Coflein website reports that in 2010 it was in residential use
