The 1878 Primitive Methodist magazine records the laying of the memorial stones for a new Primitive Methodist chapel at Perth in the Pontypridd station
When I wrote this page I asked “Where was the chapel – in fact, where was Perth! What happened to the chapel?”. Thanks to Philip Thornborow (see comments) for a very plausible suggestion.

I would suspect a typo. The chapel at Porth, in the Rhondda valley opened in 1879 according to this source http://webapps.rctcbc.gov.uk/heritagetrail/english/rhondda/porth.html Does any of the information in this account match that in the magazine?
