The site for Tredegar Commercial Street Primitive Methodist chapel was acquired just before 1900 and the chapel built in the early 20th Century.
The chapel is shown on the 1959 plan on the eastern side of Commercial Street – interestingly still marked as a Primitive Methodist chapel, some 27 years after Methodist Union
