Askwith Primitive Methodist chapel

Historic England website contains a description of a former Primitive Methodist chapel in Askwith near Harrogate.

It started life as a Friends’ Meeting House, now private house. 1704 and the Primitive Methodists took it over some time in the nineteenth century.  The Prims abandoned the building around 1880 and in 1900 it was described as “in  ruins”. However it was  restored and extended around 1980
