Harthill Firvale Primitive Methodist chapel

Whilst searching for the likely location of a Fair Vale Primitive Methodist chapel whose opening is reported in the 1889 Primitive Methodist magazine, I came across a Primitive Methodist chapel on Firvale, off Winney Lane, south of Harthill.

The 1890-93 Ordnance Survey map shows a small chapel on the site and the 1902 map shows a much larger building. It is still there on the 1923 map but has disappeared by 1956. There is modern housing on the site in 2009

I don’t think this was the chapel in the magazine report that I was looking for, but I include the reference, just to be safe!
