  • I always knew that my mother was a Methodist, but it was only upon coming across a page of Primitive Methodist Baptisms from Thurnscoe, Yorkshire, on the Genuki Web Site that I found out that she was actually baptised in 1923 as a Primitive Methodist.

As my dad was a Catholic and we were brought up Catholic I was unaware of the Primitive Methodists – although learned a little about Methodists.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone on the site who has relations/ancestors/connections with the Primitive Methodists in Thurnscoe around 1923.

Thank you and I look forward to checking out the site fully.
