Hi
Two of my family members where at this college on the 1871 census, Joseph Ellis aged 12 and his brother Samuel Ellis aged 13, both born in Grimsby Lincolnshire. Would it be possible they would be in your admission registers for the school please. I understand the school was also called the ‘Primitive Methodist college’ on Malton road.

Regarding the archives, which may contain, admission registers, the Wikipedia post for Elmfield College suggests that they are held at Ashville College, Harrogate, with which Elmfield College was amalgamated when it closed. An enquiry there may be a good starting point.
