Hi. I am a descendant of the Stamp family who I know were preachers around the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. I picked up an a William W Stamp who was a president in mid 1800s but in the Midlands ( Dudley). I remember a tall lady in Edwardian dress and rather proud in her lace up boots at a house in Abbeydale Sheffield I think it was around 1955.
Mum told the story of her grand father being killed by a horse drawn float in around 1904 in a church gala trying to stop the beast breaking off with a load of children .
