Eames, John (d1916)
Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by F.J. Pennock
Bro. John Eames passed into the Homeland, at the age of sixty-nine, on February 2nd, 1916. Monmouth Circuit is the poorer. He was a noble soul. Converted forty years ago, he immediately joined our Church, and became an acceptable local preacher. It was not unusual for our brother to rise at four o’clock to walk teens of miles to his appointment. His loyalty to our Connexion was very real.
His latter days were reminiscent of God’s love to him. He knew the value of prayer and faith. His dear ones mourn his loss, but they follow on in hope of meeting again.
I have not been able to identifyJohn in online records. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
