Gibbon, Elizabeth (nee Chadwick) (1839-1915)
Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by T. Kynaston
The Stretford Church lost a striking personality when, on Saturday, April 24th, Elizabeth Gibbon passed to her reward, at the age of seventy-six. On her marriage to Mr. Frank Gibbon she became a member of our Church, and has honoured that membership by fifty-two years of unbroken fellowship and consecrated service. Perhaps the outstanding feature of her work was her care for the sick. She was a true friend of the poor, and quick to respond to every appeal for sympathy and help.
