McConnell, Jane (1860-1899)

Transcription of Obituary In the Christian Messenger

MRS. MCCONNELL, of Greenock, departed this life on September 12th, 1899. She joined the Paisley church, under the ministry of Rev. S. Blackshaw in 1878. Removing to Greenock in 1879, she joined the society at Greenock, and remained a member until her decease. She was a diligent attender of the means of grace, and trained her children to tread the courts of the Lord’s house. She is survived by her husband and an unbroken family of eight children, for whom our prayers arise. But 39 years of age, her course was quickly run, but she was ready, yea, she hasted to depart to be with Christ. Rev. F.J. Sainty preached a memorial sermon on Sunday evening, September 17th.
