Research notes
Kendall records Jane as being from Shadwell, in London, and active in London Primitive Methodism.
The 1841 census return records Jane as a preacher of the Gospel in Folkton, Scarborough, Yorkshire, aged 45.
There is a marriage in Q4, 1842 for a Jane Phelps at Hull, Yorkshire, which could explain her leaving the travelling ministry. This was possibly to Isaac Burnham (abt1793-1854) on 11 November 1842.
Jane and Isaac are living at Preston, Yorkshire at the time of the 1851 census. Staying with them is Rev. James R Parkinson, a PM minister.
If this is the correct Jane, She was born abt1792 at Calne, Wiltshire and died on 12 September 1879 at Preston, East Riding, Yorkshire. I have not been able to identify an online record of her baptism in Wiltshire.
