Siddle, George (1849-1910)

Transcription of obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by J.W.E.

Our Church at Peel Street, Thornaby, has again suffered a severe loss by the death of our respected brother, George Siddle, which took place on Wednesday, March 16th. Our dear brother was formerly and for some years a class-leader in the old chapel in New Street, and although he relinquished that office he has always remained a staunch and consistent worker, being a Trustee of our present church in Peel Street, and one who was ever anxious for the success and advancement of the Master’s work and the salvation of men. He died happy in his Saviour’s love.
