Family

Robert was born in late 1830 at Buckden, Huntingdonshire, to parents William, a carpenter, and Maria. 

Before entering the ministry, Robert was a traveller in tea.

He was married to Mary Ann (abt1839-1908). Census returns identify five children.

Robert died on 22 March 1915 at York, Ontario, Canada.
