The 1834 Minutes of Conference record that Lydia was plagued by the Witney Circuit. An extract from Joseph Preston’s Journal in the Magazine in 1835 records that she spent a few week in the Witney circuit.
The 1837 Minutes of Conference make two references to Lydia, although she is not on the stations for that year. Firstly the Circuit’s Assistant Sick Travelling Preaching Fund paid £1 12s to the Barnstable circuit in respect of Lydia being sick for 4 weeks. Secondly, the difficult finances in some circuits was highlighted by the Charitable Fund paying Lydia £3 4s back salary in respect of her time in the Barnstable circuit in 1835.
