Crown, William (1814-1887)
William was born on 29 November 1814 at Hunstanton, Norfolk. His parents were Wesleyan. His obituary records that he grew up a ‘careless youth’. William was converted at the age of 17 and two years later became an exhorter.
He married Frances Dixon (1812-1865) on 27 May 1841 at Illington, Norfolk. Records identify three children.
- William Dixon (1844-1900) – a grocer
- Fanny (1846-1901) – a music teacher; married Robert Adams, a farmer and PM local preacher
- Caroline (1849-1913) – a schoolmistress; married Stephen Francis Bately, a carpenter
William married Harriet Bately (1834-1900) in 1867 in the Blything Registration District, Suffolk. He died on 31 October 1887 at Southtown, Suffolk.
