THOMAS FLETCHER (A): born at Lawley Bank, Shropshire, in 1872. He entered the Primitive Methodist Ministry in 1896, and was trained at Hartley College, entering the work first in Yorkshire and later in the West and Midlands.
He was a vigorous and thoughtful preacher; and made himself respected and loved as a faithful pastor. After his retirement in 1930 he gave devoted service to a circuit in Nottingham. His latter days were burdened with physical weakness as well as other trials, but all were bravely met and borne; his quiet faith in God standing out in the recollection of all who knew him.Â
He passed to his reward on December 11, 1942, in the seventy-first year of his life and the forty-seventh of his ministry.
