Family
Albert was born in 1885 at Davenham, Cheshire, to parents James Fowls, a wheelwright, and Eliza Merrell.
In 1901, Albert was working as a gardener.
He married Prudence Webber Bennett (1874-1960) in 1915. They had one son, Clarence, born in 1918.
Albert died in 1963 in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
New Zealand Electoral Roll records identify that Albert continued to serve as a Methodist minister in New Zealand after 1912.
