Family
William was born on 22 September 1900 at Bristol, Gloucestershire, to parents William Ewart Greening, an advertising representative (1911), and Jane Ellen. He was baptised on 12 October 1900 at St Francis, Bedminster, Ashton Gate, Somerset.
He became an Anglican priest in September 1931.
He married Doris Wadsworth (1899-1988) in the summer of 1927 at Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
William died on 2 January 1972 in the Camborne, Cornwall.
