Charles was born on 11 March 1812 in Redruth, Cornwall.

Ministry

Charles is particularly associated with Primitive Methodism in Bristol where, during the course of his ministry, he spent a total of 11 years. During his superintendency the Ebenezer Chapel was opened in 1849.

Kendall describes him as an apostolic man.

Family

Charles married Elizabeth Lea on 11 July 1843 in Hereford. She was born on 19 October 1809 at Vowchurch, Herefordshire and died on 21 July 1887 in Hereford.

Charles and Elizabeth had one son.

Charles died on 16 January 1899 in Hereford.
