Family
Abraham was born in 1832 in Walsden, Lancashire, to parents Zachariah, a butcher, and Susan. He was baptised on 20 April 1832 at Rochdale, Lancashire.
He married Elizabeth Firth(1830-1889) on 20 February 1854 at St john the baptist, Halifax, Yorkshire. At the time of his marriage Abraham was a joiner. Census returns identify three children.
- John Edgar (1856-1936) – a farmer 91878); a freight agent (1910)
- Sarah Thursa (1861-1931) – married Joseph Robert Watson
- Joseph Firth (1866-1928)
After his time in Walsingham, Abraham returned to Canada and later moved to live with his son John in the USA. Abraham died in Washington State, USA.
