Family
Jabez was born on 28 October 1876 at Camden Town, Middlesex, to parents Joshua, a school keeper (1881), and Mary.
Jabez became a freemason in September 1919. The 1939 Register records him as a clerk in holy orders living in the vicarage at Davidstow, Cornwall.
He married Portia Cocking (1878-1927) in the summer of 1907 in the Redruth Registration District, Cornwall. Census returns and birth records identify four children.

- Catherine Beatrice (1917-1986) – married John G Boundy, a stone mason, in 1939
He married Elizabeth Boundy Johns, nee Richards, (1880-1980) in the spring of 1940 in the Redruth Registration District, Cornwall.
Jabez died in late 1956 in the Bodmin Registration District, Cornwall.
