Family

John was born abt1843 at Annan, Ireland, to parents Thomas Kearns and Judith Doyle. He was baptised on 16 May 1843 at Rathvilly, Ireland, in the Catholic Church

He married Jane Davis (1843-1923)  in the summer of 1869 at Luton, Bedfordshire. Records identify four children.

  • Frederick Clifford (1870-1908)       
  • John Vincent (1875-1901)
  • Theophilus Sydney (1878-1902) – died in South Africa
  • Sarah Ethel (1882-1919)

John died on 10 June 1921 at Malvern, Stonnington City, Victoria, Australia.

  • Additional to last comment, Bertha Janet Kearns died in 1942. There is another sister called Gertie. I believe this is her born in Creswick. The extract is from birth, death marriages Victoria, Australia.

  • Bertha Janet Kearns was born in Kyneton in 1873. Died 1943. Married in Frankston 26 December 1904. Her residence was the Methodist parsonage Frankston where her father rev John Thomas Kearns was minister.
