King, Thomas Pinder (1852-1929)

Family

Thomas was born in early 1852 at Nafferton, Yorkshire, to mother Hannah King, nee Binnington. He was baptised on 28 November 1852 at Nafferton.

Census returns identify the following occupations for Thomas.

• 1881 gardener
• 1891 minister of the Gospel
• 1901 evangelist
• 1921 Methodist minster in Canada

He emigrated to Canada in 1911.

He married Sophia Jane Cressey (1864-1946) in late 1885 at Malton, Yorkshire. Census returns identify one child.

• Glendora Mabel (1887-1951) – married George Wesley Arnott in 1923; married Edward Brown

Thomas died on 16 February 1929 at Wentworth, Ontario, Canada.

Sophia married William Thomas Jennings in 1933.
