Morris, Samuel (1815-1880)

Samuel was born on 12 December 1815 at Bitterley, Shropshire. His father was John Morris.

Samuel married Ann Hulse at Tunstall on 20 July 1843. She was born on 12 July 1818 in Tunstall and died on 25 October 1865. Census records identify seven children.

  • Mary Eleanor (1846-1912) – married Thomas Joseph F B Bagley, a chemist
  • John Hulse (1848-1912) – an Inland Revenue Officer
  • Thomas William (b1850) – a merchant
  • Samuel Hughes (1852-1917) – a book-keeper
  • Martha Ann (b1854) – a schoolmistress
  • Albert Edward (b1857 – a bank manager
  • Frederick Joseph (1860-1916) – a commission agent

Samuel died on 28 November 1880 at Congleton, Cheshire
