In 1901 Oliver is recorded as a blacksmith’s striker living at Aberdare with his parents.
The 1911 census return records him at Tadcaster, Yorkshire.
The 1939 Register lists a Thomas Oliver, born 18 February 1882, working as a blacksmith at an engineering works at Wellington, Shropshire. Was this Thomas?Â
