Owen, Edward Thomas (1839-1913)

Family

Edward was born on 25 December 1839 at New Works, Shropshire. I have not been able to identify his parents.

Edward emigrated to USA, arriving in January 1884.

He married Ellen Underhlll (abt1836-1880) in early 1868 in the Stoke Damerel Registration District, Devon. Census returns identify two children,

Nellie Saveria (b abt1869)
Louisa Adeline (1870-1960) – married Ralph Sylvester Dietterich, a pattern maker at iron foundry (1900), in 1895

He married Sarah Ann Evans (1852-1922) in early 1881 at Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan Records identify six children.

Bertha (b1881)
Eva (1882-1955) – a teacher (1930); married John Henry Hileman, a grinder at steel mill (1930), in 1925
William Gladstone (1886-1854) – a tin smith (1910)
Gerald Millard (1888-1953) – a labourer (1940)
Madeline Ellen (1889-1946) – a saleslady (1900), married Francis W Coll, an auto-painter (1920), in 1910
Ernest Dudley (1892-1970) – a car builder (1910)

Edward died on 19 October 1913 at Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
