Phillips, James (1826-1893)

Family

James was born on 24 October 1826 at Poonah, India, to parents James and Sarah. He was baptised on 31 October 1826 at Poonah, Bombay.

After leaving the ministry James worked as a gardener (1871) ,a grocery shopkeeper (1881) and Assurance Agent (1891).

He married Anne Melton (1823-1886)  in late 1854 in the Norwich Registration District, Norfolk.

• James Henry (1855-1921)  – an ostler (1891)
• Annie Maria (1857-1865)
• John Garibaldi (abt1861-1865)

He married Martha Maria Cannell (1842-1932) in late 1886 in the Norwich Registration District., Norfolk.

James died in early 1893 at Heigham, Norfolk.
