Rogers, Benjamin Bartholomew (1839-1877

Family

Benjamin was born on 25 January 1839 at Hepworth, Suffolk, to parents George, a hawker (1851), and Sophia.

He married Mary Ann Elizabeth Lawley (b1846) on 25 March 1868 at Paisley, Renfrewshire. Mary was a daughter of Rev. John Lawley, a PM minister.  I have identified two children born in Scotland.

• George Lawley (1869-1947) – a printer compositor (1891); emigrated to Canada and became a Baptist pastor; died in Los Angeles, California
• Alfred John (1870-1893) – entered the Royal Navy in 1886

Benjamin died on 18 September 1877 at Wymondham, Leicestershire.
