Research Notes
This was possibly Vincent Sadler born in 1808 at Benson, Oxfordshire. His parents were James, a carpenter and joiner, and Ann. he was baptised on 29 September 1808 at benson.
His marriage record gives the occupation as sawyer.
Census returns identify the following occupations for Vincent.

He married Elizabeth Grantham (1815-1890) on 28 December 1839 at St Giles, Oxford. Census returns identify six children
- Martha Ann Maria (1843-1923) – a silver burnisher (1881); married Thomas Thompson in 1883
- Hester Ann (1844-1905) – married Edward Wilkes, puddler (1864) and railway foreman (1891), in 1864
- Sarah Susanna (b1845) – married Charles William Smith, a tin plate worker (1871), in 1871
- Joseph Grantham (1849-1924) – a traveller in ironmongery (1881)
- Vincent (1850-1857)
- Thomas Grantham (1855-1935) – a warehouse clerk (1881); an ironmonger (1911)
Vincent died on 3 October 1873 at Birmingham, Warwickshire.
