Family
Samuel was born abt1849 at St Lukes, Middlesex, to parents Samuel, a woollen salesman (1851) and Mary Ann.
He married Mary Ann Adams (1844-1920) in the summer of 1874 at Lowestoft, Suffolk. Census returns identify three children.
- Albert Victor Clements (1875-1939) – emigrated to Canada in 1905; a decorator (1923)
- Alice Maud (b1877) – a clerk at assurance society (1901); married Henry Francis Waller, a chartered accountant, in 1908
- Sidney Clifford (1881-1949) – a soldier (1911)
Samuel died on 16 December 1899.
