Turner, John (1835-1907)

Family

John was born abt1835 at Kidderminster, Worcestershire, to parents Thomas, a carpet weaver (1851), and Ann. He was baptised on 16 April at St George, Kidderminster.

Census returns identify the following occupations for John.

• 1851 carpet weaver
• 1861 PM minister
• 1871 curate at St Michael, Pelsall
• 1881 chaplain of Union & Marines Church at Gloucester
• 1891 rector of Coln Rogers, Gloucestershire.
• 1901 clergyman of the Church of England at Mickley, Northumberland.

He married Elizabeth Ann Bagley (1839-1926) in early 1865 in the Wolverhampton Registration District, Staffordshire.

John died in the spring of 1907 in the Hexham Registration District, Northumberland.
