Waits, Edward Wallace (1849-1928)

Family

Edward was born on 14 December 1849 at Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, to parents Edward Waits, a tailor, and Susan Wallis.

He emigrated to Canada in 1873 becoming a Presbyterian minister.

He married married Mary Ann Buchan (abt1855-1906). Online records have identified three of their children.

• James Garfield  (1881-1953)

He married Ellen (Nellie) Grant (1879-1957) on 21 September 1906 at Omaha Nebraska, USA. Records identify three children.

• James Grant (1907-1964) – a civil engineer (1930)
• Gertrude Adelaide (1912-1999) – married Charles Joel Beck, a doctor
• Helen Margaret (1915-1996) – married Carleton Alexander Nelson, a doctor

Edward died on 12 October 1928 at St Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota USA
