Family

George was born on 20 April 1876 at York, Yorkshire, to parents Joseph Walker, a builder, and Helen Eliza Sutherland.

He married Clara (1887-1947) in South Africa. Passenger records identify four children.

• John (b abt1919)
• Georgie (1920-1996) – married Jan Willem Buykes; died in Australia

George died on 28 January 1961.
