Transcription of obituary published in the Minutes of Conference
FRANK WARD: born in Darfield, Yorkshire, on 3rd April 1898. After a pre-collegiate year at Appleby, he trained at Hartley College and served in the following circuits: Crowle. Kirkby Stephen. Appleby and Tebay, Goole (Carlisle Terrace), Bristol (Eastville), Doncaster (Spring Gardens), Newcastle upon Tyne (Ryton and Prudhoe), Consett, Newcastle upon Tyne (West), Penrith. Ashington, and Carlisle, and superannuated in 1964. He died on 21st October 1997, in the hundredth year of his age and the seventy-fifth year of his ministry.
At his own request there is no further obituary.
Family
Frank was born on 3 April 1898 at Darfield, Yorkshire, to parents Walter Ward, a colliery shunter above ground (1901), and Ada Scarborough. He was baptised on 24 April 1898 at Darfield.
He married Elizabeth Pattinson (1905-1989) on 19 June 1928 at Appleby, Westmorland.
Birth records identify two children.

Frank died in October 1997 at Carlisle, Cumberland.
