Ministry
A transcription of journal extracts published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine relating to her experiences in New York and Philadelphia in 1830 is attached. Ann describes in some detail her experience of attending a week long camp meeting. She also emphasises the importance of family visiting as a mission activity.
Family
Anne came from Devon where she had been associated with the Wesleyan Methodists. She with some of her relations emigrated to America circa late 1829 where she joined with the Primitive Methodists. Already a preacher, she was taken out as a travelling preacher by the early missionaries in New York.
I have not been able to identify Anne in online records. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
