Family
Sydney was born in late 1837 at Rochdale, Lancashire. His mother’s maiden name was Heaton.
After leaving the PM ministry Sydney joined the Church of England ministry. After being a curate at Wigton and then Hayton, near Milton, he was appointed vicar of Mungrisdale, nr Penrith in August 1887.
He married Emma Oliver (b abt1841) circa 1861 at Motherwell, Scotland. Emma was the daughter of Thomas Oliver, a PM minister. Census returns identify one child.
- Emily Farrar (b1863)
I have not been able to identify the family after the 1901 census return. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
