Wigley, Thomas (1847-1900)

Family

Thomas was born on 31 January 1847 at Ardwick, Manchester, to parents Thomas, a labourer (1847) and provision dealer (1861), and Hannah. He was baptised on 23 May 1847 in the Manchester II PM Circuit by John Oscroft.

He married Mary Moore (abt1847-1926) in the spring of 1875 in the Fylde Registration District, Lancashire. Census returns identify five children.

• Hannah Beatrice (1876-1942) – married Robert Higgin, a drapery salesman (1911), in 1902
• Alice Gertrude (1881-1955) – married Richard Hawke Burnard, a salesman in drapery warehouse (1911), in 1906
• Elsie Mary (1884-1963) – married Joseph Broadbent in 1916
• Eleanor Constance (1888-1978) – married John E R Edwards in 1917
• Thomas (1891-1963) – a Congregational minister

Thomas died on 5 September 1900 at Manchester, Lancashire.
