Family

William was born on 26 December 1792 at Kersall, nr Kneesall, Nottinghamshire. He was converted on 15 May 1818 having heard the missionaries Caleb Herron and Thomas Saxton.

William married Mary Woodward (1794-1876) on 25 November 1816 at Kneesall, Nottinghamshire. Records identify three children.

  • John (1818-1896) – a joiner
  • William (1821-1840)
  • James (1830- 1874) – a printer compositor

William died on 19 September 1869 at Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
