Ministry
A transcription of the obituary published in the Primitive Methodist Magazine by James B Knapp is attached. he provides an overview of Edward’s ministry, which was very missionary based. before entering the ministry he worked as a missionary in the villages around the town of Ellesmere. In most of his circuits he saw significant increases in membership. He was forced to superannuate in 1851 die to ill-health which could be traced back to sleeping in a damp bed for two nights. he settled at Clinton in the Bishop’s Castle circuit where he continued to preach whilst health permitted.
