John was born in 1853 at Glazebury, Lancashire, to parents James Wright, an agent at a cotton mill (1861), and Maria Thomason.

• 1911 farm labourer 

Census returns identify that John married but I have not been able to identify his marriage in online records.

John died in the summer of 1936 at Leigh, Lancashire.
