William was born on 19 April 1816 at East Harling, Norfolk, to parents William, a licensed hawker (1816), and Sarah. He was baptised on 19 May 1816 at East Harling.

William died in 18139 at Peterborough, Northamptonshire. He was buried at East Harling on 31 December 1839.
