Ann Penny, of Overston, Northamptonshire

1829-45

ANN PENNY was from her infancy mindful of the instructions of her parents, and obedient to their commands.

Ann frequently attended the means of grace with her parents. She attended the Sabbath-school at Overston where she was always anxious to be there at the proper time and diligent in learning to read.

‘From the Scriptures she learned to love her heavenly Father, to repose confidence in the merits of Christ crucified for her soul’s salvation, and to smile at death, believing that when he should seize her she should be taken to heaven.’

‘A little before two o’clock on the morning of march 18th, 1845, her spirit took its flight to God who gave it, when she was between fifteen and sixteen years of age.’
