A new chapel was opened at Edmonsham in 1849 – the only place of worship in the village apart from the established church.
It held 120 people, cost £58/3/10 of which they had raised £37/9/9.
The 1900 Ordnance Survey map shows a Primitive Methodist chapel on. By Street View in 2009, there is large detached housing on the site – called Chapel Cottages
