The number of Primitive Methodist chapels at different times was as shown in the following table. Please note the difference in number between those places of Primitive Methodist worship in use, and those registered. These differences are due to the differing purposes of the statistics. The connexional figures are for Great Britain, whereas the official statistics relate to England and Wales (although there were only 18 ex-Primitive Methodist congregations in Scotland in 1940) Any additions to the table will be received with thanks.
